Shavuot – The Revelation of God and the Gift of Torah - June 10-13

This year our Shavuot celebration will cover the entire weekend from Friday night prior to Shavuot and continue on Shavuot, Saturday evening through Monday.

Friday evening join us for another Shabbat Dinner at Sinai. Following Shabbat dinner, our Friday night services will include musical accompaniment by Dr. Steven Gerber. Also, as part of our annual Journey to Sinai program that we hold each Shavuot, a member of the congregation shares their Jewish journey with us. This year Dora Goldberg will share her Jewish journey with our community on Friday evening.

Saturday night for Havdalah and Shavuot, we will hold a Tikkun Leil Shavuot, an evening of Torah study to celebrate the gift of Torah and the Divine Revelation at Mt. Sinai, which occurred on Shavuot. Our Topic: What Does It Mean To Be Created “B’Tzelem Elohim” (In the Image of God)? Discussion and Jewish texts will be shared at the home of Rabbi Friedland and Lizzie Fagen.

Sunday Morning Services for the first day of Shavuot 9:30 AM when our second Journey to Sinai Speaker will share his Journey to Sinai - Dr. Richard Wein Sunday evening services at 6 PM

Monday morning Shavuot Day 2 and Yizkor 9:30 AM, Yizkor will follow the Torah service @10:30. Monday evening Services at 6 PM
