A message from the president of Sinai Synagogue

Steve Lotter

Greetings and thank you for choosing to learn more about our Sinai Synagogue family.

This year we are proud to welcome a number of new members who have just joined the Jewish community.  It is thrilling to have such an infusion of enthusiasm and talent as we grow and continuously re-invigorate our small community.  We have an all-time high number of children enrolled in the FEAST, Hebrew School and TAMID programs.  Though many of their activities happen behind the scenes at least to adult eyes, it’s always exciting to see a large group of kids come up to the bimah for Adon Olam on Shabbat.

We are looking forward to a number of activities and programs throughout the coming year.  We have been awarded a grant that will help fund a series of three annual Shabbat retreats for the entire Sinai community and are just beginning the planning process which will lead up to our first Kallah.  Find more information on the Kallah Project website www.thekallahproject.org.  Another new event will be a performance of the Sinai Kids Klezmer band.  The teenage TAMID kids are branching out with yet another style of music! These new activities combined with our old favorites such as the community menorah lighting and Journey to Sinai, our personal stories told on Shavuot keep us engaged and busy!

All of these activities rely on numerous volunteers, participants and supporters who make Sinai such a great community.  Thank you all for your dedication to our shul. Please let us know how you would like to be involved.
